Wonder Woman Star Gal Gadot Reveals Joss Whedon ‘Threatened’ To Make Her ‘Career Miserable’ On The Sets Of Justice League
Plenty of stars have worked in a toxic environment and recently, the latest to reveal about the same is Wonder Woman star Gal Gadot. In a recent interview, she revealed that she was threatened by director Joss Whedon on the sets of DC’s Justice League. Earlier, there were reports claiming that there’s a poor working relationship between Gal Gadot and the Justice League director after the actor expressed her concerns with the direction of the movie and her character. That’s not it, there were rumours of harassment on the sets.

Gal maintained her silence back then, however, now, Gal openly confirmed the same and said that he would make her life miserable if she made any mistake. In an interview with Israel’s N12 News, Gadot said, “What I had with Joss basically is that he kind of threatened my career and said if I did something he would make my career miserable. I handled it on the spot.” Ray Fisher, who played the role of Victor Stone or Cyborg, was the first actor to open up about Whedon’s alleged misconduct with cast members. In July last year, he tweeted, “Joss Wheadon’s on-set treatment of the cast and crew of Justice League was gross, abusive, unprofessional, and completely unacceptable. He was enabled, in many ways, by Geoff Johns and Jon Berg. Accountability>Entertainment.”

Back in 2020, Gadot had released a statement in which she opened up about her experience working with the filmmaker. Gal told LA Times, “I had my own experience with [him], which wasn’t the best one, but I took care of it there and when it happened I took it to the higher-ups and they took care of it. But I’m happy for Ray to go up and say his truth.”

Meanwhile, Joss Whedon had to direct 2017’s Justice League when Zack Synder had to leave the project halfway due to personal reasons. However, the film did not fare well at the box office while some called it a ‘disaster’. Later, the fans demanded to release Zack Synder’s cut which was then released on HBO Max. ALSO READ: Preggers Gal Gadot Reveals The Gender Of Her Third Baby With Hubby Jaron Varsano; Jokes ‘We’re Sticking To What We Know’
